Part 3 (July 13^th)

DAY VISIT TO GRANADA !!!

Well, we could not resist, and today in the morning we jumpt in out great car (Mercedes small SUV, Diesel and Automatic, given as a free upgrade, except $250 more for the auto transmission) and went ca. 78 miles away to GRANADA, a famous cross cultures center, for centuries under Moor’s rule.

The very first site we went was THE ALHAMBRA PALACE., a most sophisticated center in the Middle Ages Spain, a backward country in the 9^th century. The Islamic centers of Spain brought back to the barbarous Europeans of the times the KNOWLEDGE of the Greeks (Mathematics, Music, Theater, Astronomy, Geometry, etc.). The Western Civilization was re-introduced this knowledge through the Moors and through the Byzantium scholars, thus triggering the explosion of knowledge of the Renaissance Italy.

We also met MAX’s cousin there, looking a lot like him !!!!
